Course Overview
There has been a global sea change in public management as a variety of internal and external forces have converged to make governments, organizations and individuals more accountable to their stakeholders. Every practitioner in the field of monitoring and Evaluation is being called to demonstrate results and this one is through accountability and learning.
An effective state is essential to achieving sustainable economic development. With the advent of globalization, there are growing pressures on governments and organizations around the world to be more responsive to the demands of internal and external stakeholders for good governance, accountability and transparency, greater development effectiveness, and delivery of tangible results. Governments, parliaments, citizens, private sector, NGOs, Civil society, international organizations and donors amongst other stakeholders are interested in better performance. As demands for greater accountability and real results have increased, there is an attendant need for enhanced results-based monitoring and evaluation of policies, programs and projects.

Participants will be required to submit 10 assignments, research paper and one final examination for the period of 12 months to demonstrate their understanding of the course content. Assignments account for 60%, research paper accounts for 30% while Examination accounts for 10% of the marks.
Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Post Graduate Diploma Certificate of Merit and a transcript.
