Course Overview
Project management is regarded as a very high priority as all companies or organizations, whether small or large, are at one time or another involved in implementation of new undertakings, innovations, changes and projects. The projects may be individually diverse, however over time some tools, management techniques and problem solving approaches have proven to be more rewarding than others in bringing projects to a successful end.
Project management is a distinct professional discipline, with its own body of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project’s objectives. The course provides the opportunity to gain the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for performing the role of project manager. It adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in a variety of industries such as construction, engineering, education, health, commerce, information technology, research and development.
Participants will be required to submit 10 assignments, research paper and one final examination for the period of 12 months to demonstrate their understanding of the course content. Assignments account for 60%, research paper accounts for 30% while Examination accounts for 10% of the marks.
