Quality of Education Stood Out
Pursuing A post-Graduate Diploma in Livelihoods and Food Security
I chose Action Institute for Professional Studies (AIPS) because it struck me as an accredited online institute where I could get quality education without having to travel far away from home. AIPS is a school that has such character and stands for the things I believe in such as excellence, hard work and ethics. With all that, I knew that AIPS was the best place for me. So far, the benefit to me of studying in AIPS to me has been the all-round experience of getting to know, interact with and understand different people from different walks of life.

Wonsuk’s Journey
I have been a teacher in the last 7 years and there are things that you realize as you interact with the environment. As a country I believe that we have all that it partakes to have a developed country in the next ten years if only we had peace and development. In my career as a teacher we have made milestones in bringing up children in a way that they will see each other as a brother, as Citizens of South Sudan without evoking any historical injustices and without harboring issues of ethnicity. The children mingle with each other very well and I am convinced I have done my best and should get prepared for more demanding responsibilities.

A Home Away from Home
I hold a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Makerere University and when I moved back home, I was passionate about helping my community on issues of water. Access to universal and Equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water is among the Sustainable development goals, and I had to find a course that is tailored towards meeting the demands of the local community and ensure that all the South Sudan individuals lead dignified lives.
I enrolled for a Post graduate Diploma in Water Sanitation and Hygiene and it was productive to me as it was hands on, on the issues that are faced in emergency situations and even developing countries.

Amazing Reception
My name Nasasira and I am from Uganda. I joined Action Africa when I was an intern and I had noticed where I was working there was an opening and a gap in Monitoring and Evaluation. The organization was struggling in the appraisal of the project under execution at the same time being accountable to the Donor and the community who were the beneficiaries of the project.
When I Joined in January 2021, I was oriented well to the course, and I was attached to a moderator who was concerned about my academic progress as well as a learning platform that would remind me wherever an assignment was due. Other students online from a number of countries brought live experiences that helped me grow.
